We found Boris on the internet. He was at a local shelter and his ad had just been put up when we found his picture. Right away, my family knew we had to have him. When we went to pick him up, all of the other kittens and cats were literally crying for someone to take them home as they pawed through the bars of their cages. When we came to where Boris was being kept, along with other kittens, he was sitting completely still and was dead silent. He seemed as if he was in a quiet room with a warm fire and was on the softest couch. I don’t think he understood where he was or even cared. We found out that he had been picked up off the streets and hand raised until it was time for him to be taken to the shelter to go live with a nice family. Thankfully, that lucky family was us. Now at 6 years old and at a weight of about 20 Ib he is more like a dog than a cat. He talks to everyone in my family and isn’t scared of any of us. He can be left in a room for over an hour and when someone comes back he will be in the same spot staring at the same wall. He is definitely unique and that’s why we love him. Hopefully others will, too!
Congratulations to Boris, our Page-a-Day® Cat of the Week!
