The Humane Society of the United States
We know pets are important parts of your family. The Humane Society will help you enjoy your furry companions and solve any problems that prevent them from purring. And they can also show you how to improve the lives of the companion animals next door, in shelters, and on the streets.

PAWS is a champion of animals—rehabilitating injured and orphaned wildlife, sheltering and adopting homeless cats and dogs, and educating people to make a better world for animals and people.

For great information about taking care of your cat or dog, helping less fortunate pets, and generally being a good cat or dog citizen, check out the ASPCA's official site.
