Contest Rules

Entering Your Pet

To enter the Page-A-Day® Online Cat contest or the Page-A-Day® Online Dog contest you must first register for a Page-A-Day® account (or log in to your existing account) and enter your email, address, and phone.

Once you have a confirmed email address and your phone and address in your account, you can fill out the contest entry form (which includes pet name, breed, gender, short bio, and a place to upload a digital photo of your pet). The online form is found at the bottom of the Cat Photo Contest and Dog Photo Contest pages.

If you wish to enter more than one pet, or alternate photos of the same pet, please submit each photograph and the required information separately. Limit of five (5) entries per household per year applies to digital images as well as print-only entries.

Special consideration will be given to mood studies, beautiful portraits, humor, action shots, unusual snapshots, and photos that capture the flavor of specific holidays. Photos that include humans or any evidence of indignity or injury will be immediately disqualified.

Print Contest

Submissions made online are entered into the printed Page-A-Day® contest unless you uncheck the "Yes" box after "Would You Also Like To Be Entered in our Printed Page-A-Day® Calendar Contest?" on the entry form.

The three finalists for each online contest will be selected biweekly by a judge or judges, which include members of the Workman Publishing Co. staff. Winners will be determined on the website each week through viewer votes. Winners will be notified by email and will be featured on the Page-A-Day® blog.

Photo Tips

All images must be uploaded at the highest quality available in a JPG format. This file has to be at least 300 dpi for the format of the calendar (width: 5.25 inches or height: 5.25 inches). For pointers on how to shoot a better digital photo of your pet, visit our Photo Tips page.

Photos are not returnable. They become the property of Workman Publishing Co., Inc., which will have the right, without further consideration, to use them in upcoming calendars and in any other calendar, publication, media, and related promotion. Principals and employees of Workman Publishing may not enter the contest. The contest is void where prohibited by law. You must be 18 years of age or older to enter.
